Terms and Conditions
Before You Book
When you book a charter with Nomad Sailors, you’re not just renting a boat – you’re joining our crew for an unforgettable experience in the San Blas Islands. By confirming your trip, you agree to these terms, which help keep things smooth and fair for everyone.
Booking and Payment
A deposit of 50% of the total charter price is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before departure.
For last-minute reservations (within 30 days of departure), full payment is required at the time of booking.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or approved online payment platforms. A booking is not confirmed until written confirmation and payment receipt are issued by Nomad Sailors.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation terms are designed to be fair and transparent:
More than 60 days before departure: 100% refund of deposit (minus transfer fees).
30–60 days before departure: 50% of the total charter cost will be charged.
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund will be issued.
If Nomad Sailors must cancel the charter due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe weather, safety concerns, or technical issues), we will offer a full refund or reschedule, subject to guest preference.
Changes & Modifications
Changes to your booking (such as dates, number of guests, or special requests) must be submitted in writing. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs, but all changes are subject to availability and potential price adjustments.
In case of unavoidable delays or route adjustments due to weather, tides, or safety, the captain’s decision is final. No refunds are provided for itinerary changes caused by weather or sea conditions.
Guest Responsibilities
Guests are expected to respect the boat, crew, and local environment. The following are strictly prohibited:
Smoking inside cabins or indoor areas.
Use of illegal substances.
Throwing waste or plastic into the sea.
Guests will be held responsible for any damage caused by reckless behavior or misuse of equipment. Children must be supervised at all times.
All guests must carry a valid passport and any required visas for Panama.
Nomad Sailors Responsibilities
Nomad Sailors is responsible for providing the services described in your confirmed booking: private catamaran charter, professional crew, meals, and agreed-upon amenities.
We prioritize safety and comfort at all times. However, weather, mechanical, or logistical factors may require itinerary adjustments. Nomad Sailors reserves the right to make such changes without liability.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, personal injury, and property loss.
Nomad Sailors is not responsible for costs incurred due to missed flights, weather delays, or medical issues before, during, or after the charter.
