Cayos Holandeses:
Dutch Cays Atlas

If you're searching for the most remote islands in the Caribbean, the best sailing destination in Panama, or an exclusive catamaran charter in San Blas, the Dutch Cays should be at the top of your list.

dUTCH cAYS:
The BEST OF
SAN BLAS

The Dutch Cays (Cayos Holandeses) represent the most extensive and protected reef system in Guna Yala. Being the furthest from the Cartí coastline, they act as a natural barrier against the open Caribbean Sea.

Because of their distance from the mainland, they are not accessible by day tours.

The only practical way to visit is by:

This limited access is precisely what preserves their untouched character.

The Swimming Pool

All departures to San Blas leave from Panama City. We recommend arriving at least one day early to avoid unexpected delays. Transfers depart early in the morning, with two main options available:

Crystal Waters

A natural saltwater pool surrounded by a 360-degree reef. The water is so calm it looks like an infinite mirror under the midday sun.

Elite Snorkeling

The reef here is the healthiest in the region. Find submerged mangrove forests and biodiversity that doesn't exist in closer islands.

Mauqui Anchorage

The seabed is pure white sand. The most secure and visually stunning anchorage in all of Panama. Only for captains who know the coral passes.

Time is
Your Greatest Luxury

Sailing to the Dutch Cays requires time and a robust vessel like our Lagoon 57. This is not a destination for rushing.

This is the minimum time needed to arrive, enjoy one sunset at The Pool, and return. It is just a glimpse of what the Dutch Cays offers.

The complete experience. It allows you to move between different anchorages (Mauqui, Kalugirdu, Waisaladub), visit Mola artisans, and truly disconnect from civilization.

Nomad Experience:

The Dutch Cays are exposed to the open ocean; only a large catamaran guarantees the comfort required in this extreme part of the map.

Cultural Immersion

Despite their isolation, the Dutch Cays are not empty. Traditional Guna families reside here, maintaining a lifestyle that has changed little in centuries.
