The Dutch Cays (Cayos Holandeses) represent the most extensive and protected reef system in Guna Yala. Being the furthest from the Cartí coastline, they act as a natural barrier against the open Caribbean Sea.

The Swimming Pool

All departures to San Blas leave from Panama City. We recommend arriving at least one day early to avoid unexpected delays. Transfers depart early in the morning, with two main options available:

Crystal Waters

A natural saltwater pool surrounded by a 360-degree reef. The water is so calm it looks like an infinite mirror under the midday sun.

Elite Snorkeling

The reef here is the healthiest in the region. Find submerged mangrove forests and biodiversity that doesn't exist in closer islands.

Mauqui Anchorage

The seabed is pure white sand. The most secure and visually stunning anchorage in all of Panama. Only for captains who know the coral passes.
