Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy explains how nomadsailors.com, operated by Nomad Sailors, uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in a comparable way. They can be set by us (first-party) or by other companies whose services we use (third-party).
How we use them
We group the cookies and similar technologies on this site into four categories. Only the first one is active by default; the others stay switched off until you agree to them.
Necessary. Keeps the site working and remembers your cookie choice. That choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key framerCookiesConsentMode. These cannot be switched off.
Preferences. Not used at the moment. The option exists for future features such as remembering a language or region.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, helps us understand which pages and routes visitors look at so we can improve the site. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Marketing. Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tags measure whether our campaigns bring visitors who request a quote, and may show you relevant ads on those platforms.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Nothing in those categories is set until you say yes. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may be limited.
To opt out directly with the providers, use Google’s Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and Meta’s ad preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences).
Who sets these cookies
Google LLC provides Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads. Meta Platforms, Inc. provides the Meta Pixel. Both may process data outside your country under their own safeguards. See Google’s cookie information at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and Meta’s cookie policy at facebook.com/policy/cookies. The site itself is hosted on Framer, whose built-in analytics do not use cookies.
How long they last
Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear your browser data or change it through “Cookie Settings”. Analytics and marketing cookies have lifetimes set by each provider, typically between a few days and two years; the details are in the provider policies mentioned above.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our tools change; the date at the top shows the latest version. For questions about cookies or your data, write to info.nomadsailors@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp through the contact page.
