Four nights changes the rhythm of the trip. Instead of touching Cayos Holandeses and turning back, you have time to explore two very different sides of this outer reef system.

The route normally begins in Cayos Limones or in the Cayos de las Montañas — our name for the coastal cays facing Guna Yala's mountainous mainland — and may also operate in reverse. The captain decides the direction according to the boat's position, wind and sea state.

After the first island area, we sail early toward Cayos Holandeses and dedicate roughly two full days to it. This is not an attempt to tick off every island. It is time to choose good anchorages, snorkel properly and experience the contrast between the two sides of the cays.

The order can be reversed and individual islands can change. Weather, swell, visibility, community permissions and the position of the boat always take priority over a printed schedule.
