Wellness Editions

A real expedition, designed around one teacher and one group.

One of our guests wrote afterwards that taking the helm with nothing to plan and nothing to solve rearranged her priorities — that she went home with renewed motivation and projects she had been putting off for years. She hadn’t booked a wellness trip. It happened anyway, because a week at anchor with no signal and no schedule does that to people.

A Wellness Edition is what happens when we stop leaving that to chance and build a voyage around it on purpose.

How it works

Every Edition starts with a collaborator. A yoga teacher, a breathwork facilitator, a meditation guide, a coach — someone whose practice we want to put in this landscape, brought in for that voyage from wherever they work. Some come from Europe, some from the Pacific, some from an hour down the coast.

Then we design the week around them. If the practice needs stillness at dawn, we anchor somewhere flat and wake up before the wind. If it needs space, we arrange an island for the group and nobody else. If it needs the forest, we go up the river. The sailing isn’t paused for the programme and the programme isn’t squeezed into the sailing — the route is the programme.

What you get is both halves at full strength: a genuine expedition through the emptiest cays in Guna Yala, and a body of work delivered by someone who came a long way to deliver it.

What it isn’t

It isn’t a retreat centre with a boat attached, and it isn’t a charter with a yoga mat on board. There’s no fixed schedule, no fixed length, no repeated programme. Each Edition is designed once, for one group, and then it’s over.

Practical
  • Duration is set by the Edition. Some run three nights, some run a week.

  • Private Editions are built for your group alone — a family, a company, a closed group of friends.

  • Nothing is compulsory. Guests who want to sleep through sunrise sleep through sunrise.

  • Non-participating partners are welcome. The sailing is worth the trip on its own.

Included on board

Reef snorkelling

Masks, fins and a crew that knows which reef is working today. Guna Yala’s reefs sit in shallow, warm, clear water — you don’t need a certification, a boat trip or a plan. You need to be in the water, which you will be, most of the day.

Traditional fishing

Hand lines, the crew’s own spots, and the same fishermen we’ve bought from for years pulling alongside at anchor. Whatever comes up goes straight to the galley and onto the table the same day. Guests who have never fished tend to be the ones who won’t put the line down.

Kayaking & paddleboarding

Two double kayaks and boards aboard, for the shallow water between the cays where the dinghy can’t go. Fifteen minutes of paddling from most anchorages puts you on sand nobody has walked on that week.

Sailing

This is a sailboat, and you’re welcome to sail it. Take the helm, trim a sheet, or learn to do both from a licensed captain who has spent years in these waters. Or don’t — nobody will ask you to.
